Run by young people for young people

About Café 100

Our aim is to provide a safe space and engaging activities, working with young people between the ages of 11 and 17 to ensure their voice is central. We believe in developing their leadership skills to empower them to be healthy, happy and safe. Our values are respect, good manners, enthusiasm, positivity, equality, good health, well-being, leadership, valuing creativity and diversity. We will give them opportunities to learn valuable and transferable life skills alongside positive friendships. We offer twice weekly sessions that provide a safe space for young people to socialise. The young people take the lead in choice of organised activities, all of which reflect the stated aims. This includes sessions on budgeting, shopping, cooking for a healthy life-style, health and safety in the kitchen and round the home and much more.

So how can I join in?

The first step is to email our Project leader, Liam Root, on hello@cafe100holmfirth.org.uk

Liam will give you all the help and advice you need and we’ll look forward to seeing you soon.

I love Café 100, the reasons being it brought me and my cousin together more as we used to rarely see each other. Also, everyone is so accepting and encourage you to be yourself. You can rely on many people to help you with stuff including school work and other things.

Café 100 has helped me to meet people who understand me. It’s somewhere that you can relax and feel accepted.

Café 100 helped me socialise and give me confidence to make friends. It makes me happy and I enjoy going there. I also made more friends, where you can have fun with all the different games and activities to do with people.
